Rat and Mouse Removal

How We Help You

Hamilton, the Greater Toronto Area, and London are in the middle of a growing concern for rat infestation. Renters and homeowners have been alarmed at the growing problem the infestation has caused. The ongoing construction and growth of the cities have disrupted these critters' natural habitats, and they are left looking for shelter anywhere they can find it, which often is inside homes and businesses instead of outside.

At Integrity Wildlife Control, our concern is getting rid of your rodent problem fast. Because just two rodents can multiply to 1500 within a year, we understand rodents need to be handled with urgency. Rodents are not considered wildlife, they fall under pest control services, so our methods are a little bit different than our wildlife control services.  Here is our we remove rodents from your home. Our four-step process has been developed over the last 20 years. First, we do an entire roof-to-ground inspection to determine the type of rodent, where they are getting in, and how much removal and prevention will cost. Second, we set traps for the rats and mice. Third, we repair all damage caused by rodents. Chewing is one of the biggest concerns with rodents. The majority of house fires that are caused by unknown reasons are believed to be related to chewed wires. Fourth, we use preventive chew-proof material to seal your home or business to prevent your building from rodent reentry. Our work comes with a lifetime warranty and a 100% money-back customer satisfaction guarantee. If you have a rodent problem, contact the professionals at Integrity Wildlife Control.

ABC's of Rodents

Appearance

Rats and Mice are typically gray or brown, depending on the species. They are between 150mm to 500mm long with their furless tail. House mice have large round ears and are gray with a white belly, and Norway Rats are the largest rats in Canada and look similar to house mice, but they are much larger and heavier. All rodents have teeth that never stop growing, so they chew to file them down. Unfortunately, your home, and electrical work can be the target of their chewing, which puts your property at great risk of property fires.

Behavior

The three most common types of rats and mice are House Mice, Norway Rats, and Roof Rats. Each has different behaviors. House mice are most often found and homes. They are often so quiet that you do not even realize there is a problem until you see their dropping or happen to see one scurry by on your floor or counter. Norway rats prefer to build tunnels and borrow at ground level. Roof rats are fantastic climbers, and if you have them in your home, you will hear them at night in the walls or attic.

Cycle of Life

Rodents are fast reproducers! They can have litters of 12 pups that are sexually mature and can reproduce within one to two months. Just two mice can grow to over 1500 within a year! If you see a single rodent getting them out quickly is imperative before your problem gets out of hand. In nature, rodents breed in the warmer months, such as summer and fall, but indoors where there are constant warm temperatures, rodents breed and multiply all year long.

Commonly Ask Questions

How did the rats/mice get inside?

Mice can fit in holes the size of a dime! Rats need a larger hole but will quickly chew their way into homes or businesses. Because rodents are such strong chewers, houses are no match for them. Simply put, houses were not built to keep out rodents. Homes have many access points from under doors to around pipes and through roof vents. Rodent problems are not caused by neglect, so you have nothing to be ashamed of if you have a rodent problem, but you do need to get your problem solved quickly to prevent a large infestation.

How big is my infestation?

The odds are great if you have seen a rodent or rodent dropping, you have a much bigger problem than you think. Because rodents reproduce so quickly and can be quiet compared to larger wildlife. They can go unnoticed for long periods. Until a full inspection is completed, we will not know the gravity of your situation.

I set traps, how come I am not catching anything?

Because so many people set traps, rodents can quickly become trap shy and refuse to go into traps. This is one reason we do not recommend homeowners set traps. It can cause more problems in the long run because the rodents can become more difficult to remove.

Do electric repellents work?

No. If noise or vibrations prevented rodent infestations, there would not be any infestations because houses and businesses are loud places. The moment a repellent is plugged in, it might scare the rodents for the moment, but they are extremely adaptable and will quickly get used to the noise or vibration and are not bothered by it.

How much does rat and mice removal cost?

Rat and mice removal starts at $289 and increases based on the number of entry points and prevention that must take place. If the entire building is not sealed, then the rodents will just quickly get back into your home through one of their many entry points. Although small, rodents are some of the most challenging wildlife to remove due to their ability to chew and enter small spaces.
